MP Campaign: Flashpoint Middle East II - SIGN UP & AAR
Hello all. I'm interested in continuing our weekly multiplayer game of Supreme Ruler 2020 - Global Crisis version 6.6.2 on GameRanger. My SN is Pax25. The first one was very successful.
The sessions will be played on Wednesdays at 6:00 CST (Central Standard Time). We will play the World 2020 Scenerio. You can choose any country and there will be no "house rules". (It's been my experience with other Multi-Player games that house rules just create more problems) The only rule is that if you miss a session, your country goes AI. This encourages attendance. Victory conditions will be complete. If you are eliminated from the game you may rejoin as another country during the next session, however, you're eliminated from claiming victory at the end. Victory is determined by the player with the highest score, or the last man standing. Periodic votes may be taken by the remaining players to determine when to end the game and who is either the sole victor (based on score), or who is included in the allied victory or draw. The vote must be unanimous. Alliances are welcome (and allied victory may be proposed), but they are not binding (very similiar to the game "Diplomacy"), so watch your back. Please post if you are interested, your SN on GameRanger, and what country you would like to play. Start Date: Wednesday, January 13th, 2010 at 6:00 p.m. CST (Central Standard Time) - 3 Hour Sessions Next Session: Wednesday, March 3rd, 2010 at 6:00 p.m. CST (Central Standard Time) *LINK TO LAST SAVE GAME FILE WHICH IS NEEDED TO JOIN http://dl.dropbox.com/u/3584646/MPSA...1004234-GC.SAV We are going with a Middle East focus, so here are what I think are some interesting country choices (feel free to take any country in the world however): Iran - Dragon Israel - zero007 Syria - Jordan - Lebanon - Egypt - Iraq - Saudi Arabia - Amonferrari Turkey - KenG Pakistan - Fistalis/Servo India - Sesh United States - Germany - Lord Jitter Russia - France - China - Hundane United Kingdom - Italy - Pax25 Brazil - Ukraine - rhjyyz NEW RELIABLE PLAYERS ALWAYS WELCOME TO JOIN Follow the official and complete thread at: http://www.bgforums.com/forums/viewt...p?f=58&t=16277

Hello Again
We meet again Mr. Pax. And it appears the teacher has now become the student. You will have to help me get my feet wet. Also what is Gameranger? I will be Egypt and KenG is wanting Turkey. I hope you will take me under your wing so I can learn how to play this game. I will be reading manuals until Wednesday to attempt to figure it all out.

AAR - Session #2 - Complete
Thanks again to everyone who showed up tonight, even ZT Strike who came just to chat while he waits for his new router part to arrive. We had close to a full house as everyone showed (6 Players), except for Hundane (China), who would leave his country to the AI. We also had a new player in Sheltonious, who would take over the very tricky political situation that is Egypt. We also look forward to KenG joining us next week.
"The Korean Peninsula" First, in the always tense region that is the Korean peninsula, North Korea continued to slug it out with the likes of South Korea and Russia. On 3/24/2020, Japan would throw its hat into the ring on the side of South Koreans. Current reports from the North indicate that the South Koreans are approaching the capital city of Pyongyang, and sources are unsure whether the city will hold. Russia troops have linked up with the Southerners north of Hamhung and continue the assault. All hope seems lost for the North Koreans unless their Chinese ally steps off the sidelines and into the fight. "China Extends an Olive Branch" Speaking of the Chinese, in a surprise move, Hundane's second in command (the AI) apparently has dove like tendencies as he agreed to a peace deal with the trecherous Mongolians. Currently, China remains at peace with all of Asia and has been extending its diplomatic prowess throughout the world. Making it difficult for nations such as Italy (me) to make friends with certain large westernized nations. "Rise of the Eastern Alliance" In the east, an alliance has begun to emerge between Iran, Pakistan, and China. Tensions are high as western powers Italy and Israel have begun lining up allies and negotiating various transit treaties of their own to protect their interests in the region. First worth mentioning, is the rise of a new leader in Egypt, Sheltonious. Sheltonious made a splash on the international stage by entering into a formal alliance with Iran. As reports of this circulated throughout Rome, Italy was quick to denounce this action. Italy cut off timber supplies to its former trading partner and began mobilizing the Italian Navy. A small fleet containing missile submarines and destroyers began steaming toward Alexandria, however, while in route, the issues were resolved by calmer heads. Diplomats met and Egypt agreed to renounce its alliance with Iran and ally with Italy, and even an old arch enemy in Israel. Normal trade resumed and the allies began deploying military hardware throughout the suez canal region and in neighboring nations. As for Saudi Arabia, their leader claims to be a "neutral observer" yet reports have leaked that Iran is already stationing troops throughout the House of Saud. "Iran Heads West" In the military campaign of the evening, Iran finished a war started by Oman. In a bloody fight, Iran executed a successful assault on the arabian peninsula and eventually annexed the small nation. (I look forward to the Iranian leaders own AAR for details.) The tension in the region can now be cut with a knife as the two factions have begun probing the area with scout planes. Iran's conquest has certainly awoke the western world. What will be Iran's next move? Will his hunger for war and conquest ever be satisfied? TOTAL SCORE (as of 7/20/2020) CHINA - 3118 SAUDI ARABIA - 2946 PAKISTAN - 2827 ISRAEL -2775 ITALY - 2709 EGYPT - 2536 IRAN - 2250

AAR - Session #3 - Complete
Well, we had an incredible 8 out of 9 players tonight as KenG joined us for the first time as Turkey, and we were honored to have Balthagor (the developer of this fine game) join us as Brazil. Hope he'll find the time to join us again in the future.
In short (since I am going to rely on everyone to chip in and draft their own AARs), tensions were EXTREMELY high as Iran seemed to be conducting intense "military drills" on its western border with Turkey, and in the Northern Iraq/Turkey border region. However, no shots were fired, and for the first time in our history no new wars broke out during a three hour session. TOTAL SCORE (as of November 28th, 2020) SAUDI ARABIA (Amonferrari) - 4,889 CHINA - (Hundane) - 4,832** PAKISTAN - (Fistalis/Servo) - 4,522 ITALY (Pax25) - 4,508 BRAZIL (Balthagor) - 4,478 ISRAEL (zero007) - 4,445 TURKEY (KenG) - 4,249 IRAN (Dragon) - 4,103 EGYPT (Sheltonious) - 4,101 **AI for tonight's session

AAR - Session #4 - Complete
Thanks again to everyone who participated tonight. We had close to a full house with the return of Hundane as China, however, we were missing the modern Egyptian pharoh known as Sheltonious. Balthagor was unable to join us this week as Brazil, but he let us know in advance and tried diligently to find a sub.
In short, the story of the night was the "Belarus War of Aggression" against Russia. Belarus apparently got fed up with the constant threats coming from Moscow and decided to take action. The war would not go well for Belarus and it now finds itself on the brink of extinction. Motivated by Belarus' war declaration, nations such as Georgia, Latvia, and Poland would join the war against the Russians. Unfortunately, Georgia was soundly defeated, and now ceases to exist as a nation. Also getting into the action for a short time was Pakistan, in what it claims was a "peace keeping mission," however, peace was eventually reached and no territory was gained or lost. Furthermore, Saudi Arabia decided to join the fight and had troops as far North as Poland. The other hotspot this evening, or should I say cold spot, is the Turkish/Iranian border. Turkey and its allies continue to build up defenses to counter the constant displays of power from the Iranians. However, rather than get pulled too far into an arms race, Turkey and Italy have been able to maintain their economic prowess at home. On the flipside, Iran leads the world in domestic approval. Eventually something has got to give...but when?? TOTAL SCORE (as of 4/8/2021) SAUDI ARABIA (Amonferrari) - 6,788 CHINA - (Hundane) - 6,684 PAKISTAN - (Fistalis/Servo) - 6,320 BRAZIL (Balthagor) - 6,287** ITALY (Pax25) - 6,245 ISRAEL (zero007) - 6,029 IRAN (Dragon) - 6,003 TURKEY (KenG) - 5,928 EGYPT - (Sheltonious) - 5,903** **AI for tonight's session

AAR - Session #5 - Complete
Wow what a night...thanks to everyone who participated. We had eight players, one newcomer in rhjyyz, who took over Ukraine, however, we lost our Egypt player in Sheltonious. Hopefully, after tonight's action he'll be persuaded to come back.
Well, the perpetual cold war finally turned flaming hot tonight, however, it wasn't simply one side that pulled that trigger on the other, but a series of events that unfolded one after another. While tensions were again high on the Turkey/Iranian border, the events unfolded when India renewed its war of aggression against Pakistan. This caused Saudi Arabia to come to its ally's rescue and declare war on India. Turkey had a mutual defense treaty with India, so it declared war on Saudi Arabia. Although the author is unsure who fired the first shot, Turkey and Iran soon found themselves at war. This set everything into motion and all hell broke loose, as Italy came to its ally's defense and declared war on both Iran and Saudi Arabia. Israel would soon follow by helping to hold the Turkey/Iranian border and launcing its own offensive in Saudia Arabia. Frome this author's perspective, war on the Turkish/Iranian border was fierce as the Italian and Israeli air forces lobbed missles at the Iranian troops. Eventually, Iran would turn the the tide with smart implementaion of AA and ground to ground missles that forced the Italian air force to retreat for repairs and broke the Turkish line. A stalemate would ensue, however, Iran captured Turkey's key miltary base and a large town of 200,000 near the border. I'll let the Israeli and Saudi Arabian give their perspective on the war in the South, where peace was eventually reached between Israel, Italy, and Saudi Arabia. TOTAL SCORE (as of 7/21/2021) SAUDI ARABIA (amonferrari) - 8,331 UKRAINE (rhjyyz) - 8,073 CHINA (Hundane) - 7,969 PAKISTAN (Fistalis/Servo) - 7,720 ITALY (Pax25) - 7,574 ISRAEL (zero007) - 7,303 IRAN (Dragon) - 7,258 TURKEY (KenG) - 6,860
