Well...

There comes a time when two nationalities fall in love...

I've always wondered about this. Personally I'd love to be able to play with a "carolinas" nationality separate from dixie, that would include people in north and south carolina, eastern tennessee and southern virginia, but hey, that's just me.

First off, you can't add any new cultures, you can only edit existing ones. Here's how you would do it:

If you wanted to remove Irish culture and replace it with Baltimorese you would do this:

Go into your Vicky directory and open the config folder, then open world_names.csv. Find the line that says
CULTURE_IRISH;Irish;;;;;;;;;;x and change it to CULTURE_IRISH;Baltimorese;;;;;;;;;;x . Keep the culture name in CAPS the same and whenever you write the culture in scenario files, still write Irish but it will show up as Baltimorese in the game instead. Confusing? Probably but I hope it helps.

Some are not used at all i think, or has anyone ever noticed Li, Hmong or Bai cultures? There are some more African tribes, which I have never seen.
Edit: At least not used in Grand Campaign, no idea about other scenarios... never played them.

Please take a look at this posting for the complete list of ingame cultures, plus a discussion of which ones aren't used at all, etc.

I know you're atlease right about Icelandic, Hawaiian and Zulu, which raises a question. Why in the hell do they have Hawaiian in the game if Hawaii uses the Polynese culture?
