Ok, they work now. Had a close look on the parties and decided to modify the file a bit. Tell me what do you think about these changes:
- First of all I just copy pasted the parties into POL_party.csv, and modified the dates so now some of them also work in the normal campaign (for example endecja starting in 1893 and so on) - You only put one PSL party in, so I decided to create the missing factions of them. So now there is PSL-Piast (the one made by roberd) from 1913 to 1931. PSL-Lewica a weak faction from 1913 to 1922 and Stronnictwo Ludowe when these two and some other peasant parties unified in 1931. About the party program I changed like one point only to differ from roberds PSL (now PSL-Piast). I don't know however why you decided to give them liberal ideology? - I changed OWP ideology to reactionary, cause they were quite a radical party, coming close to fascist ideas sometimes. - Lastly, I couldn't find anyhting on "Wolność" ukrainian party, I assume (via the deathdate) that it is a predecessor of UNDO, though my search on pwn.pl was without the desired result. Where did you find it roberd? PS Concerning Polish events. I stopped creating them for a while. For most of them to work I need the situation in russia clarified. I'll include the constitution though in the .inc file today of tomorrow.

Ok, here they are, finaly: Finland Estoniasm events This one is for Estonia: Finland-Estoniasm(triggered in 1922 or so) Finland and Estonia are two countries with strong ties. Their language is extremely similar and they are considered "brother people". Finland supported the Estonians in their Vapaussota, "War of Freedom". In the early twenties a thought of Finland-Estoniasm was born: Finland and Estonia were to be a single country. The Estonians were considerably more enthusiastic than the Finns. We shall be one! Militancy -2 for people in Estonia Trigger the Finland-Estoniasm event for Finland No, we stand on our own feet! +5 prestige +1 militancy for people in Estonia For Finland Finland and Estonia are two countries with strong ties. Historiacly the Finns rejected the efforts No, we want to continue on our own road -1 militancy for people in Finland Alas! Annex Estonia Gain the Estonian stateculture +2 militancy for Conservative and Reactionary in Finland Does it look like there is no sense in rejecting the Finland-Estoniasm... Well, there was some diplomatic reasons back then and the annezationwill propably simulate it well enough. |

Uuuh, uuuh, now we're talking!
For whoever controls the aproriate province) Oil shale!(1924 or so) Estonia started to use its oil shale deposits, located in Pärnau(not 100% sure) in the twenties. Oil shale can be used as coal for fuel or it can be cracked to produce oil. Oil shale! Province Pärnau(? the easternmost coastal province) will now produce Oil(1.0 is proapbly aproriate amount) +10 Oil +10 Coal |

A word about the downside of aneexing Estonia. If I'm correct this would very much annoy the soviets, so maybe a severe drop in relations with the USSR for Finland (but, can they be any worse?), or trigger an event in which the soviets have choice to intervene or back off.

teddybbeer: Thanks a lot, I didn't know when the oil shale industry began. In Finland we have this thing called "perstuntumalta heittäminen".
The land reform should obviously increase the effect of the cattle RGO's. The most of Estonian provinces produce cattle, don't they? |

Ok, here's the first batch of Polish events (and one soviet). If anyone wishes to discuss them please do so here. I'll post some further events tomorrow, however the work is far from done.

Moraczewski gabinet. The discontent of the dismissed PM's government was country-wide, and even incited a coup attempt on
January 5th, which however failed miserably. The dismissal came only 10 days before election day to the sejm and by many
was viewed as a complete capitulation of PPS and other left-wing parties. By appointing the acknowledged pianist and
patriot Paderewski Head of State Pilsudski wanted to ensure a pro-western policy that would appeal to Roman Dmowski and
the Komitet Narodowy Polski in Paris."

strong, was experienced and well equipped, however they were far away. Pilsudski's men were here, but they also needed

comments on the Estonian-Finnish events:
1) Estonia-Finland merger event: True, our nations share similar culture(finnish-ugric) , language and have always felt sympathy against each other, but this is how far things go. Plans for united Estonian-Finnish, Finnish-Estonia state are nothing else but fiction. There are thousands of political and economical reasons/problems/issues/obstcles that make it impossible(russia would have never allowed such union!!!), then there is natsionalism(Estonians are not finns and finns are not estonians!!!) and etc. Besides finnish politics was rather more scandinavia orientated in 20's, tough they helped to improve cooperation between baltic states. Anyway, i would be more than happy to write some events for latvia, estonia. i'll keep ye posted! |

Again I have to apologize for my long absence. Fact is, that I simply can't find much time to script the events. Aside from those above I have a word document, in which I sketched some events, but didn't code them. If anyone would be willing to do some scripting I can send the file. There is however one good thing in school catching up with me, I'm going to prepare for exams in History now and I should dig up more events on Poland and it's closest neighbours.

Sure thing,
- The Wielkopolska Uprising. Event for Germany. Early January 1919 In December 1918 the Polish community in Wielkopolska, disgruntled by the fact that despite the war, they were still under German rule decided to begin an armed struggle. The uprising began in Posen on the 27th December and by New Years Eve the rebels had the city firmly under control. The last German stronghold, the Lawica Airfield, fell on the 6th of January as the insurgents gained more and more support from the local populace. a) Damn them! (+4 militancy rise for Polish in Posen). Note: In the beginning of the scenario there should be an army of 20000 rebels in Posen. - Armistice with the Wielkopolska rebels. Event for Germany. Until June 1919. Trigger when Posen and Gniezno under rebel control. When the German army finally reacted to put down the rebels in Wielkopolska they had little success. The uprising achieved its goal and local Poles clearly stated their intentions of uniting with Poland. German government was under pressure form western powers, especially France and marshal Foch to end the armed intervention and sign a truce. Armistice talks were on the 16th of February in Trier and assured that the insurgent statements were met. Wielkopolska joined Poland in June when the Versailles treaty was signed. a) We are defeated (-4 militancy for Polish in Posen) - Conflict over Cieszyn. Event for Czechoslovakia. Jan-Feb 1919. Trigger when Poland is at war with W. Ukraine When the Habsburg empire fell most of the Cieszyn region was seized by Poland despite the sizeable Czech population there. Through 1918 and 1919 the Czech government tired to get Cieszyn back. An opportunity arisen in early 1919 when Poland was involved in conflicts with West Ukraine and Soviet Russia. On 23rd January Czech forces seized the region, however the Polish side did appeal to the western powers about this conflict. a) Cieszyn is our land (trigger “Conflict over Cieszyn” for Poland -70 relation with Poland) b) Back down (remove claim, sleep further chain events, +30 relation with Poland, more anti-military) Note: Poland should by at war with W. Ukraine from the start. Hostilities between those two nations began in late 1918. - Conflict over Cieszyn. Event for Poland in response to Czechoslovakia taking action. When the Habsburg empire fell most of the Cieszyn region was seized by Poland despite the sizeable Czech population there. Through 1918 and 1919 the Czech government tired to get Cieszyn back. An opportunity arisen in early 1919 when Poland was involved in conflicts with West Ukraine and Soviet Russia. On 23rd January Czech forces seized the region, however the Polish side did appeal to the western powers about this conflict. a) This is an outrage! (trigger “Conflict over Cieszyn” for France, +2 militancy for Polish in Cieszyn) b) We already have enough problems (remove claim, sleep further chain events -10 prestige) c) Declare war (chance 1%, war with Czechoslovakia, more Jingoist) - Conflict over Cieszyn. Event for France in response to hostilities. Big offset When the Habsburg empire fell most of the Cieszyn region was seized by Poland despite the sizeable Czech population there. When the Czechs seized the region in January Poland decided to appeal to the western powers. France and Britain first forced a truce between the nations and then decided to hold a poll in the contested region. In 1920 due to Poland losing the war with Soviet Russia the poll idea was dropped and a border was established giving more to Czechoslovakia than to Poland. a) This is Czech land (75% chance, +20 relation rise with Czechs) b) This is Polish land (25% chance, +20 relation with Poland, trigger “The fate of Cieszyn” event for Czechoslovakia) - The fate of Cieszyn. Event for Czechoslovakia firing right after the French decision. Due to the Polish appeal the western powers convened and decided the fate of Cieszyn. The fact it was taken by an unprovoked act of aggression means we have to give the land back to the Polish. a) Darn! (secede Cieszyn to Poland, prestige -20, -20 relation with France) - The Versailles Treaty: Polish-German border. France. 28th June 1919. The matter of settling the Polish-German border in the Versailles Treaty was given to Frenchman Jules Martin Cambon. His proposition included giving Poland directly the land given to Wielkopolska by Germans in the treaty of Trier, Danzig and Upper Silesia and hold a poll in East Prussia. This proposal raised the objections of the British PM Lloyd George and US President Woodrow Wilson. France was too weak to stand up to such an opposition and in the end Danzig was made an independent state and polls were to be held not only in East Prussia but also in Upper Silesia. a) Agree to British and US demands. (Trigger “The Versailles Treaty. Polish-German border (I)” for Germany. -10 relations with UK and US) b) Accpet Cambon’s proposal. (Trigger “The Versailles Treaty. Polish-German border (II)” for Germany. Prestige +15. -40 relations with UK and US, +20 relations with Poland, sleep “Poll in Upper Silesia” and Silesia uprisings) - The Versailles Treaty. Polish-German border (I). Germany, triggered via event The Versailles Treaty settled the disputed Polish border by forcing Germany to give away Posen and East Pommern. Though the French wanted more losses, the British and American delegates in Paris intervened so Danzig was to be made independent and polls would be held in the next year in Upper Silesia and East Prussia where the residents would decide which country to join. a) A just solution (secede state Posen and provinces Elbing and Torun to Poland. Grant independence to Danzig) - The Versailles Treaty. Polish-German border (II). Germany, triggered via event The Versailles Treaty forced Germany to give away huge chunks of land to Poland. Though Britain and United States wanted Germany to give away less, the French finally forced their own ideas. Germany was to give away Posen, East Pommern and Upper Silesia while a poll would be held in 1920 in East Prussia to let the residents of that region decide which nation to join. a) Damn those French (secede state Posen and provinces Elbing, Danzig, Torun, Kattowitz and Gleiwitz to Poland. -30 relations with France)
