As my readme obviously didn't make it to the installer,I post it here. The reason is the part "Special Rules" that is quite necessary, you might ignore the rest.
As there are some flaws I suggest avoiding certain nations as their events aren't truly working, especially:
USA
Ottoman Empire (lacking texts)

Countries that I suggest, because of working events:
Prussia
Piemonte-Sardinia
France
Portugal (might become Brazil, in a special way

)
Japan
Spain
Persia
Serbia
Ethiopia
Oman

What is this?
-------------

This is the first public version of the unofficial mod called Age of Nationalism. The idea was
sprung on Paradox' official Europa Universalis forums, and using those forums as a base, this
mod was created by a large amount of EU fans. It is a modficication to Europa Universalis II
that makes it possible to play the game during the era of nationalism, from the end of the
Napoleonic age to the outbreak of the first Great War - 1820-1914. The mod will alter your
version of EU2 so you will not be able to play the regular game, therefore you need to install
a second copy of EU2 for this. More about that later, though.

Regretably, this version do have some flaws, but the public pressure made us release it anyway
- and it is in no way unplayable (at least I found it really enjoyable

. We do know of these
flaws, and will correct them for later versions. The three big flaws are these: 1, missing
Russian events, 2, missing Ottoman event descriptions and 3, unedited army and fleet names. If
you can live with these errors, please go aheaed

Special "rules"
---------------

As the game is not meant to be playable post 1819, some special things are required to make it
playable. When starting a game, select "Age of Nationalism" and then you must choose Victory/Standard.
Problems might occur when loading the game, especially that the "End scenario" sign appears. If
that happens you can do one of two things. Either load the game from ingame, ie when playing
another game. Or you can locate the save file in the scenario/save games folder. Then open it
(file name ends with .eug), find the "gametype = 0" variable and change it to "gametype = 3".
When loading that game from the scenario start up screen, you need to select Victory/Standard
again. This procedure is due to the fact that the game isn't supposed to be running post 1819.

Gees, I'm sorry...

I didn't realize mine was the only download-mirror there was. And now even that have died, for reasons more or less out of my control. I don't have access to the FTP-space anymore and so couldn't keep it there.

Another thing I discovered was that I'd actually deleted the files, which must go down as one of the stupidest things in the history of EUII...

It does not contain the graphics, however. These are also the very latest files, so there's a loading error that I can't figure out at the moment (I just implemented most of Fate's suggestions in the ME thread).

i've used 1_5 and 2_1, with 1_5 the latest right? I still get loads of errors, from peru.ai and major.inc etc, also including something called Guano_harsh things causing errors. Is the fix for these things here?

You need patch 1.06.

Anyway, I think we should drop this thread and post all new links in the Download Link thread. Several threads tend to confuse people
