Ok this is a bit early perhaps but I have decided to write an AAR about Chile, GC, normal, normal.

I have just finished my first game as Sweden so I am a mediocre player. However sometimes it is boring to read about plain success and glory and this could very well be an exception. We will have to see. I will start playing ASAP and then post

Seidita, thanks, her is an introduction. I will try to write much about details but there will be a plot too.

Part I Christina (1836)

September 18, 1836 was celebrated all over Chile. It was now exactly 26 years since Chile declared its independence from Spain. Sure there had been some battles with the Spaniards after that but still this was the official day when people celebrated their independence. Cristina Vial woke up with a gigantic hangover.

“Ah, what a night it had been, huge celebrations and a lot of wine” she whispered to herself. She was still a young beautiful woman with long slender legs, blue eyes and long dark hair. Men always turned around when they passed her and could not take their eyes off her.

Her husband, José Joaquín Prieto Vial, el presidente, was still sound asleep. “lazy bastard” she said with a slight contempt in her voice. She had dreams, great dreams. Why should Chile be a tiny back-water country when her ideas very well could propel the country into becoming one of the great powers in the world? She sighed and mixed a Margarita to get in shape again. ”Yeah, that’s it, why not create an empire under the sun” she muttered.

She smiled as the cold drink hit her mouth. “Mmm just love it, only one thing tastes better”. She started to dream again, so clear everything was. Chile had a couple of colonies and some useless neighbours. Why not expand the colonies, nobody would be able to object or?

Well of course the economy had to be improved, mm those luxury furniture factories are really profitable and railroads, yeah that would be nice too, then perhaps more tourist would visit this beautiful country with a crazy geography; beautiful lakes, mountains, glaciers, hot springs and even volcanoes.

And why not spread the word of God to all the savages in Asia and Africa too? They had no armies and the red hot Chile soldiers would easily be able to crush their petty resistance? “Ahh”, she took another sip, “great”. The neighbours then, hmm, Argentina could perhaps object but that was a problem that 20 divisions could solve pretty quick.

She smiled again and mixed a new Margarita, perhaps it was time to wake up José and tell him that some changes were needed. She burst into a silent laughter; an empire under the sun, yeah that had to be celebrated, hm one more Margarita perhaps?

Good start! Only Margarita is a Mexican cocktail... a Pisco or Chicha would be the more traditional Chilean way to go

Allthough this is only my second post, I am abiding reader of your EU AARs and the great work you are delivering in the EU-Forum is giving the hope to me that this AAR will be another fine piece of literature. Your prologue is very nice. Behind every great man there is a great woman, or how do you say it in proper englisch?

Oh, and in real life Chile fought and won the Pacific War (1879) against Peru and Bolivia, maybe you would like to emule that event (just for the records, some mayor naval duels happened there)

Thanks all for your support. About “one thing” well Chilean wine of course…chicha ok thanks for the tip. Oliver Guiness thanks for the kind words. Anibal, no this is an entirely new story. Väinö, no this will be a much more serious AAR As for Argentina and historical leaders we will have to see I guess. Argentina has some nice colonies in the south…

I hope to be able to post next part later today. I have played ten years ahead and there have already been some exciting action

Part II Soy un Muchacho ! (1836-1837)

José woke up since the air of alcohol in the room was too attractive to ignore. “Ahh”

“A Margarita dear?” said Christina and smiled while she tried to push up her delights as much as possible.

“Margarita?!!, bah, Mexican crap, I want a real Chicha, soy un Muchacho!!!” answered José in an irritated voice.

“Chicha is only for peasants” whispered Christina but managed to open up a bottle of Chicha. Ha, calling himself muchacho while drinking that stuff… almost watered-down white wine, candy-like and sweet-with a fruity aftertaste. Simply some sort of white wine and a real man should not drink white wine, makes you slack. 75 % of the population was peasants and there weren’t many souls in Chile, only 1,015,000 to be precise, so she knew she was right, slack and lazy, with stronger stuff the men would be more “bullish” and produce more children.

“Here you are dear, a real macho, Chicha, eh? hope it won’t make you too relaxed” her lips formed into a spiteful smile and the thin night dress revealed her soft white under clothes that barely covered her delights.

“Ah, that is the taste” shouted José and started to slaver as he fixed his eyes on Christina’s long slender, slightly dark coloured legs.

“Maybe you want something else too dear?” asked Christina in a sweet voice as she noticed his sudden interest.

“Aha, clever girl, I like that”. José smiled as the cold Chicha made him feel full of life.

“Well I want a thing too you know, well that too of course but first tell me about the meeting today with the leaders of the Conservadores party”. Christina touched José with one of her legs and gave him a horny smile.

“Ah, they got 66 % of the votes last election and the liberals only got 33 % so they have a firm grip on this great country.

“Mm, just love a firm grip you know, nice I love them, they are moralists and pro military,” answered Christina and her mouth started to water. “Also I would love to make some use of our two brave divisions, the 1ra División infanteria Ejéceito de Chile and the 1ra division de Caballerí, why not teach those shabby cattle farmers to the east a real lesson dear?”

“My God you bloodthirsty shameless women, our army is a joke you know, only 9 000 braves in all”. José sighed and continued his description of the political situation. “The liberals are also pro military but with 98 % Catholics and 98 % Spanish in this country I do prefer to have a moralist party like the good old Conservadores”.

Christina smiled. “Ah the church and the military in one party, that’s great. I am glad that we are so uniform here, not like that pesky country of Peru with savages all over the realm.

“Mm we have a very nice and homogeneous country indeed, ten provinces and five colonies, all Catholic and Spanish”. José kissed Christina hard on her mouth and began to undress her.

“Easy dear, don’t tear my night dress apart, its silk you know”. She pretended to be worried over the expensive night dress but secretly she loved coarse Muchachos who gave her a rough treatment. ”We have to industrialize, today we are only producing grain, iron and some fruit, we are nothing more than a standing joke, we need research, factories, an opera house and railroads and I want to produce luxury furniture”. Christina was bare and started to close in on her target.

“Mm, let me give this some thought dear”. José´s eyes started to roll around passionately like wild bulls on a rodeo performance.

Christina was all fired up and started to talk too much. “And why not claim the Valdivia colony as ours, I long for those juicy colonies Magdalena, Cochrane, Puerto Natales, Caleta Clarencia and Punta Arenas, spicy names”.

“Arggghhh concentrate women”. José was fuming because of the hold-up. “The Argy´s might get pissed off you know and swarm in all over our borders” he added shouting like a wounded bear.

“Bah, cattle peasants, never mind what they think, they only have cow men with small guns, we have real men with big guns”. Christina´s sensational, soft body was convulsing with anger at the thought of the bothersome neighbours.

“Ahh”. José watched her, she was slender and hungry like a tiger and her feminine muscles flexed when she continued.

“Let me handle the budget and research dear, after all a real Muchacho should not do that, that’s girls work and you got to relax and let me handle the things dear”.

José was almost unconscious but managed to squeeze out a couple of words. “Mmmm, yeah, why not? I think you could do a great job with that as well. Then I don’t have to think too much if I let you run the business I guess, more time for Chicha and bed games”.

Christina was unable to answer but she smiled inside at the thought of all the reforms she would make, oh yes raise the taxes, increase the education level –only 12 % literacy right now-, collect some money in the treasury, buy new goods on the world market, new clippers and small arms, canned food, build a winery, and then subdue some savages and teach half-Indians and cattle peasants which country they really should fear in South –America, ahhh.
