A letter arrives from Egypt.
"King of Aragon,
The eyes and ears of Egypt reaches also to your humble surroundings. What kind of man can sign this treaty...
”I. Mameluks shall sell damascus steel, kohl, muslin, cotton and perfume to Aragon at a 25% toll rate. In exchange, Aragon shall sell finest Aragonese iron, silver, amber, fish and wool to Mameluks at a 25% toll rate.
II. Aragonese merchants shall have the first option to buy the exotic goods from Africa and India as long as they are not silk, ivory, gems, and spices. They shall pay a 55% toll rate for these goods.
III. Aragon shall allow the Ulama in Jerusalem to be the spokesman for all muslims within Aragons realm, most prominent the muslims in Samaria, before the sunnite Caliph.
IV.Aragon shall fund the raising of shiite Mosques and Madrasses in Samaria and therefore grant a yearly payment of 10.000 dinars to the shiite community in Samaria, aswell as allow shiite Imams and Mullahs to travel freely to Samaria from Egypt.
This agreement is valid until the end of 1446, when the terms could be renegotiated."
And then sign another one giving the Osmanis monopoly among muslim realms on same goods as mentioned above. You have forfitted your respect as a man before the Sultan as drawn the anger from Allah, as your own false God upon you...
Breaking a written agreement, cutting of Egypt from its rightfull share, is not seen kindly upon..."
